Allied Waste Service Agreement with the City of Troy

The City of Troy and Allied Waste (Republic) Service have enjoyed a very good working relationship since 1996.

The City of Troy and Allied Waste negotiated the terms, conditions, and rates of the agreement for trash, recycling, large pick-up, and yard waste to provide service in the best interest of the health, safety, and general welfare of its citizens.

Allied Waste (Republic) of Edwardsville recognizes six holidays:

  • New Year's Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Day

Should your pick-up day fall on or after the holiday your trash, recycling, and yard waste will be collected one day late. For example, if your service is on Tuesday and Tuesday is a holiday, your trash and recycling pick-up would then be on Wednesday. The Wednesday pick-ups would then be on Thursday and so on. If the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, there will be no change in the collection schedule. All residential pick-up services shall be made between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.
